Thanks for generously giving us a gift on your birthday :-) This group is like "walking into a room full of friendship." Enjoy celebrating life and your book!
The security team can’t even be bothered to leave their beds anymore when I burst through the front door late in the evening.
Took me a minute but I’m still chuckling at that image. Happy birthday and wishes for many more sunrises and sunsets, first bluebird joy and all the wonder of the unfolding world.
Happy Birthday! What a nice thing, to share all these gifts. Hope it’s a wonderful day and auspicious for the rest of the year. And congratulations on sending the book in! 💫
That reminds me of what my managing attorney told me a couple of years ago after he walked in on me sweating it through the granular details of some motion in a small-ish drug case. He took one look at me and said "you know you'll never actually finish writing anything, right?"
Nope, never. In fact reading the sentences for the audio part I almost edited a couple on the fly, just like I do when doing readings because the shit is always changing, heh.
Its truly never finished. That's why reading Emily Dickinson's real work is amazing because she included all her potential changes and shifts in a word on the page. Completely unfinished and beautiful for the possibility of different iterations. So here's to work ever remaining unfinished! :)
In my case, it really turns into a jazz-like Ruminations On A Theme situation over the years, except that the theme is "don't allow this meth in at trial."
Happy Birthday! I just recently moved to Flagstaff, AZ—which I did not choose for its snowfall but for its supposedly beautiful outdoor access. Not to be had yet. I was trying to figure out how to send you the picture of me that was like the photo you posted but in all honestly, I had no frozen liquids on me, just under me. Haven’t found my feet under me yet. I so enjoy being part of your community.
Glad for the day you were born (Apsaalooke greeting).
That’s beautiful. 💗
It IS beautiful. Thank you, so much. 🙏🏽

It is, isn't it! Thank you for pointing that out because it's true. 💚

Thank you!
Happy birthday to ya, Fellow Chris! Glad to see that the Earth gave you a face-blast of snow for your troubles. Here's to another spin around the Sun!
☃
Your snow makes for a much better picture than our swamp-ass humidity, that's for damn sure.
Sending you the first white and yellow daffodils for your birthday and a high five for getting the manuscript edits submitted. Tremendous!
💪🏽
Happy birthday Chris!! And congrats on sending your book in!! Auspicious days indeed. Now let there be cake! (And ice cream if that's your jam)
OF COURSE there will be ice cream! Thank you....
Happy birthday, and congrats on moving the book along!
And I laughed out loud at a couple of these--3/25 in particular, given yesterday's impressive hailstorm here in my corner of Oregon.
We are getting all that weird spring weather in Montana this spring. It's almost too much to handle. 😏
What everybody else said!!!
Happy birthday! I love these one sentence diaries, thank you for sharing
Thanks for telling me. They feel particularly self indulgent but I love the practice. 💚

I didn't send it so much as punt the damn thing, but thanks! 😂

Sounds like one of my "workshops."
😅
It has to be punted to keep moving on its journey, right? 😉
Great stuff. Love hearing your voice.
Happy birthday! Mine was yesterday.
Happy birthday, Victoria!
And I meant to add before I accidentally posted - happy birthday!!
A hundred goldeneyes whistling!! I hope your hamstrings have decided to return.
Hi Chris,
Really beautiful stuff and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Sincerely,
Melissa
Melissa! Thank you!

Thank you, Cori. Flagstaff is a beautiful place – you'll get your feet under you for sure!
Happy belated birthday. Wishing you many more! Great roundup of sentences and love that snow-crusted selfie!
Thanks, April! 💚
