What a month you lived! Thanks for sharing your sentences with us. Does reviewing them prompt you to look back on those moments with gratitude? That last one! Who is that old woman in my selfies? Yikes, she's me!
I love how your mind darts between ardent political commentary and the adorableness of a fledgling chickadee taking a bath — the latter being the perfect counterpoint to the former. 🙏🏼♥️
Oh boy, do I love a well-constructed sentence. As always, yours are not only that but also hilarious and beautiful, and just what I needed this morning. Thank you.
So glad I didn’t choose the self-bagging popcorn maker as a technology I would give up. It’s sublime, as is my egg maker that always makes a perfect egg.
(I think I would give up speed.)
These are wonderful as always. They were the first thing I read this morning and the not-calm before the storm will stay with me all day.
Love these, Chris. My favorite is "In case of emergency offer tobacco and let the spirits take over." Yes. I owe you a note ... it's been too long. Sending much love ~ Heather M
Continuing to explore + meet your marvellous-ness here. 2023_0720 is the best word sequence I've enjoyed in a long time. Cinematic Worlds unfurl, Billowing out! Ahhh I am glad I found all this. I love your Beauty-full writing. Thank You!
Ack, Les Schwab popcorn takes me back to summers in eastern Oregon on the road. And this: "A breathless reminder that relief may only be found from within." Trying so hard to remember that one. These are always such gorgeous, funny, poignant meditations to read. 💜

They really do. Each one is like a little short story to myself.

Thank you!
That hummingbird. I love watching hummers have little aerial sword fights—such fierce little beings.
So fierce!

Miigwech, Debbie.
In case of emergency offer tobacco and let the spirits take over.
🙏🏽
Love this practice and it has inspired me to start my own. A month strong so far. And “pudgy” is a wonderful description of a bumblebee.
I hope you feel comfortable to share a couple at some point!
Love these so much...

Basho would be proud of ya.
High praise, David. Thank you.
Although this can never be a thing, I envy your hummingbird overload.
It's been one of the best elements of the summer so far.

Welp. You made me look up "roll coal," and now I'm sorry I did.
Those dudes need to swallow some of that aggression. 🍕🍕🍕
