Hooray!! We'll see you in Portland at Powells! I am guessing somebody is hooking you up with lodging and etc. but we have a bed for you if you can use it and happy to feed you some supper or take you out. Glad the tour is going so well and look forward to seeing you in person.
I love how this post reads like a letter. Written and sent back home .Telling friends and family about your travels. In words that form the scenes through your own eyes, and the feeling of emotion that overflows from your heart. Doing what you do best. Thank you for trusting us with all of it. “Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road…” (Walt Whitman~Song of the Open Road)
I've been telling all my loved ones in MT to take advantage of you touring for the book! I hope some of them have been there. I'm so thrilled you're getting the support you should be. (And 3 cheers for Al from a Choteau gal!)
Oh wonderful! If it wasn't Susan Luinstra, I'd wager its someone else working with her at the Choteau Arts Center. Pretty vital part of the community these days. They host all kinds of stuff, including a group fiddle class full of retired folks (including my 70-year-old-mom!) just now learning the instrument. Hope it works out, and if I can help at all from a distance (down in Laramie), let me know!!
Chris, you signed a book for my friend Deb in Superior on Tuesday (thank you). I just learned that Jocko Finlay was her great x4 grandfather. His descendant married her great great grandmother, Mary Three Dresses who was a descendant of Francis Ermatinger, a Hudson’s Bay Co. employee. Deb is loving your book. You two could be related.
Yep on the T-Shirt. Quite Enjoyed the Helena event. I so appreciate how you are developing your presention. You are not pulling any punches but you’re not being mean either. So important as we move forward together.
A tour shirt would be so rad!! 💙 🦬🤘
I would buy that t shirt in a heartbeat 🔥
You are an astonishingly compelling interviewee.
I thoroughly enjoyed both interviews that you posted.
Thank you!

I've been hoping I'll see you!
I'd definitely buy a couple of those tour shirts!!

The shirt looks awesome! Do it!
Thanks, Tom!
When are you coming to Chicago or thereabouts?
The closest I've got scheduled at the moment to Chicago is Iowa City in October. I may get out there farther but so far not yet, unfortunately.

Al just called me a little while ago to give me information for some arts person in Choteau who wants me to do an event there!

It is Susan. I don't know if I've met her but I suspect I have. Al said I probably have. 😂
Marvelous! She is a community treasure in a lot of ways.

We could!
Yes yes yes on the shirt! I’d happily pre-order. So happy for you. If you need a place to sleep on your travels west, you’re welcome here.
