As always, exactly what I needed to read. Big hugs, and I would also like to steal your son's Hamm's ;)

Thank you, Chris. It’s almost the end of Boxing Day here, now, and this was a lovely reminder that festivities are generally about people being together, and holding on to that is much more important than all the other things that people spend their time worrying about.

A few thoughts:

Your father's absences remind me of my father's when he was at sea (Navy family). My sister and I remember when he was home, not when he wasn't.

Oh, I remember my time in the retail & fast-food trenches well. Yes, such strange relationships we weave.

Lastly, I had to wonder if the sugar plum fairies laugh about farts, too.

Nice! Thank you for the drive-by and drop on Christmas Eve! We'll have to talk about that over a fire sooner than later. And thank you for these little fireside chats, the next best thing to being there.

I am so glad to have been introduced to your writing through HP and especially your interview with her solidified that I need to subscribe and read your work. I love how you write and how you leave yourself on the page. You have inspired me to get back into journaling. So thank you. Just want to wish you a happy upcoming New Year and look forward to the next thoughtful thought stream in my inbox. Cheers to one and all!

Twinkling lights, decorated trees and pizza farts…Christmas memories for sure. Thanks, Chris. I don’t want to leave a card saying I appreciate you, but, well…I do. I am most grateful to know you through your writing. Happy New Year!

It must be great to have good Christmas memories from childhood. I have a few, and I cherish them. I think this year taught me more than most, that what’s cherished the most is family, since we’re restricted from seeing all of them. Merry Christmas.

More joy and less bullshit might just be my 2021 mantra. Thanks for all of this, Chris. Happy Christmasing!
