And I loved this road journal, Chris. Thank you for sharing what you saw and who you talked to as you rambled the hot pavement in summer. Your words are valuable and I'm inspired to play in the haibun form, which aligns beautifully with a personal project I'm working on while teaching Joy Harjo's 'Conflict Resolution for Holy Beings' this month.

Thanks, Holly. I'll be curious to read what you come up with! I'd been curious to try the form myself and this seemed a perfect opportunity. I'll definitely do more.

This is beautiful -- the extra piece you linked. So much I still don't understand and probably never will. Onward--

I really enjoyed the haibun-esque style you employed. Gives me many ideas, even though I'm focused on electronic forms right now. Also, discovering Erin Pringle was wonderful. More to read, more to read. Time to brew another cup of tea.
