Here I am again, driven to realizing I don’t know fuck about anything except myself. I just wanna live from my heart these days and disengage my thoughts.
Oh, and, I wanna read the aforementioned poetry.
Thanks for this post, Chris. You always present Truth with openness and transparency.
I fully agree with the need to listen. It's hard. We're so well trained for smug arrogance. It's part of what I seek when i practice silent meditation.
Same. Also, the woman who wrote The Artist's Way, Julia Cameron, has a new book coming out about listening. I know many people who swear by her methods, so who knows.
Man, I have got to read After Ikkyu.
(I've heard part of it, which was pretty great—thank you—but I do so love the printed word as well.)
There is some good stuff for sure. I've been driving around listening to it quite a bit lately. It has grown on me.
Your compassion is admirable. I try. I can be an angry potato sometimes. But at least I'm not a dick tater. 😇
Thomas, thank you. You seem a very compassionate guy yourself, angry potato or not. :)
Thank you for this, Chris. It helps me situation some of my thinking and feeling about the particular mess our society is in these days.

I'm going to try to be more like you. Wonderful post.
Thank you, Betsy. A good place to start would be to have a pizza takeout place on speed dial.
😂
You're more than alright in my book, Spud.
