Wow! This is of high praise and honor for my little girl! Bronwen is my daughter and meeting you was a special day for her (and for me too…only awkward mom in a circle of 5th graders). This is so very very special. Thank you for inspiring her and being open (and humble) to be inspired by her.♥️

Just going to keep with my pseudo-tradition of jumping in the comments and thanking you for something I've taken away from this latest dispatch: I love the idea of thinking of hidden things, not as forgotten, but waiting to be seen or remembered. Grateful to you, Bronwen, and Ma’iingan for this boost and reminder today. 🙏

Navigating the line between actual humility and false humility something that I find difficult (even without throwing in the bizarre tempest of mental health that storms between my ears), so I hear what you're saying there. Maybe the best way to live is to be a moon, letting the light of the things that you love (and do well) bounce off of you and illuminate the others lovely things around you?

"I read it then, and thanked her, then slipped it in the book where it was ultimately forgotten … or maybe where it waited to be seen again when it became necessary." I love reframes like this. Turn your head just a little and you can gain a new perspective (often a more generous one).

Yes, the Cincinnati airport being in Kentucky seems so wrong. The history of is that the first Cincinnati airport was built in Ohio. But it was placed in the floodplain of two mighty rivers, and was prone to both flooding and heavy valley fog. Kentucky had unincorporated land just across the border and lobbied Congress to build a new airfield there. It happened in time to be of service in WWII, and since the Cincinnati area was becoming too heavily populated to build an airport there, its fate was sealed. The airport nomenclature is CVG because the location is closest to Covington, Kentucky. I think that in the end it stayed named as Cincinnati out of name recognition for the largest and maybe best widely recognized city in the area. Part of me really likes the idea of the rivers telling men they were wrong, and to get out of nature’s way. ;)

“All I can control is how I go out into the world, and I am going to continue reflecting on, and practicing, humility.” I have always loved something that belongs to us all but I first heard Ru Paul say it years ago, long before Drag Race: “What other people think of me is none of my business.” Not easy to practice this sentiment but it’s one I love. However I do want to say that I’m so proud of you and am really enjoying watching you shine. It is wonderful to see you sharing your soul with the world. Or your art, and your person. ✍️🦉📚🦄 💞

It's not often we hear about the behind-the-scenes emotional journey of an author, especially in terms of balancing success with humility. It's admirable how you use your platform not just to elevate yourself but to shine a light on the Little Shell community and the values that guide you. Thanks for sharing this candid look into your process and the reminder to always carry our successes with a sense of humility and purpose.

Wonderful story, I was right there with the chills as Wolf appeared to guide you. And, having written today about a very special turtle in my campus community, I appreciated the link to the 7 Grandfather teachings. Turtle has caught me by the imagination lately. 💚
